Ladies & Gentlemen, as we slowly progress through the first quarter of 2025, please do accept my apologies for the shortage of major overseas getaway trip reports for the past few months or so. To keep you updated on my main overseas travel diaries for the coming year itself, I would like to warmly welcome you all to this brand new regional overseas getaway voyage report detailing my nine-day long regional Feng Shui, social and culinary journey to the Philippines in January & February 2025. This new getaway trip report will consist of only five main segments, for which, this shall constitute the first section of the report itself.
There will be a total of two main focus topics, excluding the prologue, that are to be covered in this first core section of the report. They are the in-bound early afternoon journey bound for Manila and the mid-afternoon road journey to the Seda Bonifacio Global City Manila. Although I cannot permit comments to be posted for my videos published on YouTube for security reasons, you may post or leave your comments in the comment boxes located at the very end of each overseas trip report segment.
Part 1 ~ The Prologue
After returning from my six-day solo major regional gastronomic and hobby shopping voyage up to Hong Kong in November 2024, I spent some time catching up on some work in our private family medical business and celebrating Christmas 2024 cum New Year 2025. My younger brother had even decided to take a gap year from his tertiary university education studies in Australia to help out with the medical enterprise itself. Once the gap year request was officially approved by his university, he was reminded that he would have to return to campus in 2026 to complete his fifth and final year.
Barely a couple of weeks leading up to Lunar New Year 2025, my mom had received an invitation to conduct some official local Feng Shui matters in the Philippines over the course of late January and early February of that year. My younger brother and I quickly decided to follow my mom to help her as much as possible, as well as to get out of Singapore. This trip would mark my younger brother's maiden journey to the Philippines as he wanted to discover a new country, as well as my second major trip there after April 2024. Over the course of the coming trip to the Philippines, Manila would serve as our base and we would spend a couple of nights in Bohol.
In the early hours of the second day of Lunar New Year 2025, which was Thursday (30 January), my younger brother and I were actively up and awake preparing the rest of our baggage for our coming journey to the Philippines. Having directly prepared our bulkier check-in baggage at least a few days prior to the trip, we all knew that things would be easier with just our carry-on belongings to pack and securely lay out in the living room area. My mom had also arranged for a MaxiCab to come and fetch us to Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2 by 8.30 a.m. sharp later that morning, knowing that we would have to take the morning rush traffic into account.
For the routine in-bound early afternoon flight to Manila, we would fly with Singapore Airlines on flight SQ 912 bound for Manila, which would be scheduled to depart from Singapore Changi Airport by precisely 12.10 p.m. later that afternoon, and eventually arrive at Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 3.50 p.m. sharp. This flight would be a positive point for our coming regional major getaway trip to the Philippines, knowing how troublesome and time-consuming it would be to pass through long international connecting flight security checkpoints at another airport in a different country.
Since the September 11 terrorist attacks in New York City, United States, in 2001 and several other terrorism-related incidents post-9/11, I have always had the firm belief that you should aim to arrive at the airport at least three hours before the scheduled departure time of your flight. However, in the event that you are heading to and / or departing from the United States, you should aim to arrive at the airport terminal at least three to four hours before the scheduled main departure time of your flight, as security for flights to and from the United States is usually taken more seriously.
This particular flight would also be a significant one to us as one of our close friends, Aunt Charmaine Lai, would be joining us on the exact same flight for her journey to Manila. Knowing that violent crime and gun crime were much more prevalent in the Philippines in comparison with Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan, my mom assured both of us that our transport vehicles would be bullet-proof. Once we had securely prepared our required belongings, we laid them out in the living room and went to freshen up in preparation for our coming journey to the Philippines.
Later that morning, our MaxiCab to Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2 showed up at the front entrance of our home by around 8.15 a.m.. The driver, who was a Malay gentleman, safely got out and assisted us in loading all of our baggage into the rear trunk area while we boarded his cab for the upcoming journey to Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2. Once everything had been loaded in, we directly departed from the familiar compound of our home at exactly 8.20 a.m. for a routine early morning journey timing of approximately 25 minutes over the Central Expressway (CTE) and Tampines Expressway (TPE) to Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2.
Soon enough, we finally arrived at the departures and drop-off point located outside Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2 at exactly 8.45 a.m.. While my younger brother and I went to grab two large baggage carts, the MaxiCab driver assisted my mom in unloading our baggage from the rear trunk of his cab. Once we had securely loaded our baggage onto the airport baggage carts, we thanked the MaxiCab driver for his efficient MaxiCab services and even promised to contact him directly when we were about to safely return home to Singapore.
With everything safe in hand, we promptly headed into the departures and check-in lobby at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2 in the direction leading to the staffed Singapore Airlines Business Class check-in counter areas, thereby reaching safely at around 8.50 a.m.. Once our turn to check in came at 8.55 a.m., we securely got out our passports and relevant travel documents before loading all our bulkier check-in baggage onto the baggage conveyor belts. The check-in procedures for Singapore Airlines flight SQ 912 bound for Manila took approximately five minutes.
Singapore Airlines (Japanese: シンガポール航空; Chinese: 新加坡航空; Korean: 싱가포르 항공) is the national flag carrier and the largest airline of the Republic of Singapore. Headquartered at the Airline House located in 25 Airline Road, the airline has its hub at Singapore Changi Airport, serving a total of 75 major overseas destinations across Asia, Africa, North America, Oceania and Europe with a large aircraft fleet consisting of Airbus A350 XWBs, Airbus A380s, Boeing 737s, Boeing 737 MAX 8s, Boeing 777s and Boeing 787 Dreamliners. The airline company plays a role as a competitor along the well-known Kangaroo Route connecting the Commonwealth of Australia and the United Kingdom via the Eastern Hemisphere.
The airline was founded two years after the Second World War as Malayan Airways on 1 May 1947, until it was split into both Malaysia Airlines and Singapore Airlines from 1 October 1972. Progressing through its development, it took delivery of its first Airbus A380 on 15 October 2007 and operated the first official Airbus A380 service between Singapore and Sydney on 25 October 2007. It was also the first core customer for the Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner, having acquired the first aircraft units from 14 March 2018 and launching the type's maiden flight between Singapore and Osaka (Kansai) from 3 May 2018. Being one of the 10 main airlines to be awarded five-star rating by Skytrax, Singapore Airlines won the special 'Airline of the Year' award five times in 2004, 2007, 2008, 2018 and 2023.
The airline directly operates three of the world's longest non-stop passenger flights between Singapore, Los Angeles, New York and Newark. Initially operated utilizing only five Airbus A340-500 jets since February 2004, these flights were discontinued after selling its Airbus A340-500s back to Airbus by late November 2013. However, with the delivery of the Airbus A350 XWBs, including seven Airbus A350-900/ULRs, the airline reinstated non-stop services to the United States from 23 October 2016, beginning with San Francisco. This was followed by Newark from 11 October 2018 and Los Angeles on 2 November 2018, including Seattle on 3 September 2019. As part of the Star Alliance network since 1 April 2000, the airline company has major code-share agreements with many fellow Star Alliance carriers via its own KrisFlyer frequent-flyer program.

After completing the check-in process for Singapore Airlines flight SQ 912 bound for Manila at the manned Singapore Airlines Business Class check-in counters located in the departures and check-in lobby at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2, we finally obtained our boarding passes by nine o' clock. The check-in agent then informed us that Singapore Airlines flight SQ 912 bound for Manila would depart safely by 12.10 p.m. sharp from Gate No. E12. Boarding time would also commence safely by 11.40 a.m., approximately half an hour before the scheduled departure time.
With that instant, we thanked the check-in staff agent for her services and headed to the major departure immigration checkpoints with the rest of our baggage. To clear the major departure immigration checkpoints, we safely made use of the automated facial recognition gates reserved for Singaporean citizens and Permanent Residents (PRs), with the entire departure immigration clearance process taking not more than approximately five minutes that early morning. Soon enough, we were in the central transit area of Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2 at 9.05 a.m..
Given that we had plenty of ample time left before Singapore Airlines flight SQ 912 bound for Manila later on, we decided to do some duty-free shopping in the major transit hall area before proceeding to the Silver Kris Lounge for some refreshments. With that instant, we securely made a stopover at The Cocoa Trees (Changi Airport Terminal 2 Transit Area Concourse E Branch) in order to purchase some local treats and at Bengawan Solo (Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2 Branch) to grab some cakes for our Filipino friends and hosts. Upon securely purchasing all our necessary duty-free treats, we promptly took the closest elevator to the major airport lounge mezzanine transit level in the direction leading to the Silver Kris Lounge.

After spending approximately 20 minutes of duty-free shopping in the main transit area at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2, we securely arrived at the front main entrance to the Silver Kris Lounge at precisely 9.25 a.m.. Proceeding to the lounge reception counters, a local lounge receptionist examined our major Business Class boarding passes to confirm our eligibility for airport lounge access. Once we were allowed to enter the lounge, we securely headed into the inner dining area before securing a nearby vacant table for ourselves.
With our belongings secured, I waited for both my mom and younger brother to help themselves to some treats before deciding to get some light refreshments for myself. Given that my mom had securely provided us with some Philippine pesos, we quickly knew that it would not be necessary to change any foreign currencies in the terminal building itself. As we used our larger electronic gadgets and had some refreshments, Aunt Charmaine soon joined us in the Silver Kris Lounge by exactly 10.30 a.m.. Once she had helped herself to some refreshments, we promptly sat down and chatted on what we would do, eat and work on in the Philippines until it was time to proceed to Gate No. E12 for Singapore Airlines flight SQ 912 bound for Manila.

After spending approximately 1 hour 30 minutes of having some light early morning refreshments and using our portable electronics in the Silver Kris Lounge situated in the central mezzanine transit area at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2, the clock was showing 10.55 a.m.. Given that main boarding time for Singapore Airlines flight SQ 912 bound for Manila would commence in just 45 minutes, I safely packed away my carry-on belongings and departed from the lounge for Gate No. E12 situated in Concourse E. The ladies and my younger brother even agreed to meet me safely at Gate No. E12 just a few minutes before boarding commenced, with the entire main walk connecting to Gate No. E12 lasting not more than approximately 10 minutes.
Soon enough, I arrived at the front main entrance to the passenger holding lounges located at Gates No. E7, E8 and E12 at 11.05 a.m., which was just in ample time for boarding to commence in 35 minutes. Passing through a slow airport security check due to the long lines of passengers, I was finally in the passenger holding lounge at Gate No. E12 at 11.15 a.m.. The ladies and my younger brother safely joined me at Gate No. E12 by precisely 11.25 a.m., as they had agreed earlier on. Observing the number of waiting passengers at Gate No. E12, I could securely see that Singapore Airlines flight SQ 912 bound for Manila would be nearly filled to the brim today.
As for today, Singapore Airlines flight SQ 912 bound for Manila would be operated by an Airbus A350-900 Regional aircraft, registered 9V-SHH and powered with two major Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-75 jet engines. 9V-SHH was delivered to Singapore Airlines on 8 June 2019 as the eighth major Airbus A350-900 Regional jet aircraft and as the 36th Airbus A350 XWB jet aircraft for the airline company. The overall delivery would make the wide-body twin-engine aircraft have a passenger service age of approximately 5.6 years old today.

The passenger waiting lounge at Gate No. E12 located in Concourse E at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2 shortly before the first boarding announcements for Singapore Airlines flight SQ 912 bound for Manila were made
After spending almost 15 minutes in the local passenger holding lounge at Gate No. E12 in Concourse E at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2, the first main boarding announcements for Singapore Airlines flight SQ 912 bound for Manila were directly made by 11.30 a.m.. The Business Class travelers, including the KrisFlyer Gold Club members and passengers needing priority assistance, were called out to board the flight first. Since we were among the first passengers to be securely summoned for boarding, we instantly got out all our general Business Class boarding passes to be checked by the boarding gate staff members on duty.
Walking through the jet bridge to Door A at Gate No. E12, we were directly on board 9V-SHH by around 11.35 a.m., which was in excellent time for a 12.10 p.m. departure bound for Manila. At the front aircraft entrance door, two flight attendants welcomed us on board and pointed out the direction to our assigned Seats in the front Business Class cabin. Storing our belongings into their respective stowage spaces, we secured our allocated Seats No. 18A to 18K in preparation for the coming regional main early afternoon flight of 3 hours 40 minutes over the South China Sea to Manila.
The Business Class cabin we would have for the coming routine early afternoon flight bound for Manila would be the new and more modern generation of major Regional Business Class seats. Manufactured by Stelia Aerospace and sporting an Opal design, these newer seats were introduced from March 2018 with the delivery of the airline's Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner jets, and are even found on the company's fleet of Airbus A350-900 Regional aircraft. Arranged in a staggered 1-2-1 configuration, these seats can safely recline into a complete lie-flat bed of up to 180º to allow all passengers to sleep during longer flights or overnight flights.
The cabin attendants safely went through the aircraft cabin distributing the hot towels and beverages to the Business Class passengers. To commence the coming afternoon flight to Manila, I had my usual glasses of orange juice and champagne, which I mixed to securely create a glass of orange mimosa for myself. While passenger boarding for Singapore Airlines flight SQ 912 bound for Manila was in progress by Gate No. E12, I informed one of the cabin attendants that I had purchased something via the airline's KrisShop website only a few days prior to the flight, with my duty-free purchase to be delivered on board later on.
Another in-flight crew attendant then appeared by my seat to confirm my main meal order for the in-flight lunch service later on. For the main lunch course, I would have the airline's signature Lobster Thermidor, which I had ordered via the airline's online 'Book the Cook' service. Once my meal order had been securely recorded, I quickly sat back to finish off my self-created mimosa and edit some new trip report data on my portable laptop while directly awaiting departure from Gate No. E12 situated in Concourse E at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2.

After the on-board clock struck 12.05 p.m., the airplane doors were closed, and the aircraft soon pushed back from Gate No. E12 situated in Concourse E at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2, approximately five minutes ahead of schedule. Once the main safety briefing demonstration video was shown on our in-flight entertainment video screens, the wide-body aircraft began to make its way over the major airport tarmac to its assigned main airport runway for the coming regional afternoon flight bound for Manila, even passing Gates No. F31 to F60 and Terminal 4 en route. The airport passageway connecting directly to the assigned runway took not more than approximately 15 minutes.
It was not that long until the aircraft approached its assigned airport runway located near Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 4. Soon enough, the two Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-75 engines spooled into action, and the aircraft soon lifted off from Singapore Changi Airport at 12.20 p.m. for its coming regional early afternoon flight time of 3 hours 05 minutes over the South China Sea to the national metropolitan capital city area of the Republic of the Philippines. We then climbed further into the bright and clear early afternoon sky for a regional early afternoon flight duration of 3 hours 05 minutes over the South China Sea to the core hustle and bustle of the metropolitan capital city area of the Republic of the Philippines.

Singapore Airlines Flight 912 ~ Early Afternoon Departure From Singapore Changi Airport
Ascending further into the bright and clear early afternoon skies shortly after taking off from Singapore Changi Airport
After safely taking off from Singapore Changi Airport, all of the 'fasten seat belt' lights were turned off at precisely 12.25 p.m., which was approximately five minutes into the flight. While the flight attendants sprung into action to commence the in-flight service, I quickly headed to the lavatory and got out my all electronic gadgets for my personal entertainment purposes. The passengers were even reminded to keep their seat belts securely buckled whenever seated in the event of any unexpected clear air turbulence during the course of the flight.
A flight cabin attendant safely appeared by my seat to ask what beverage I wanted to accompany my main course later on. Given that I was in the mood for some red wine over Lunar New Year, I quickly decided to have a glass of 2019 Château La Cardonne, Bordeaux, French red wine. With the flight crew attendant noting down my beverage order. Once the flight cabin attendant had taken down my beverage order, she went back to the front galley to help the other flight attendants prepare for the coming in-flight lunch service. It was not that long before an in-flight lunch service cart stopped by my seat and that I was safely given my main meal tray containing my appetizer by one of the other flight attendants.
The first appetizer course consisted of sliced silken chicken salad served with crunchy vegetables, fresh herb slaw, roasted sesame, miso and honey dressing. A flight cabin attendant also poured my glass of 2019 Château La Cardonne, Bordeaux, French red wine in preparation for my main dish course later on, while I asked to have one piece each of crispy flatbread, garlic bread and Italian grissini. The pieces of silken chicken tasted alright, with both the miso and honey dressing providing additional flavors to the chicken, though the vegetables and herb slaw left a peculiar aftertaste that I was not quite fond of.
However, the highlight of the appetizer course was the bread pieces that I had as they paired well with a hint of olive oil. Once I was finished with my in-flight appetizer meal course, one of the in-flight cabin stewardesses securely came by my seat to collect my used in-flight appetizer plate and cutlery and kindly offered to refill my glass of water. With my appetizer course cleared away, I sat back and did some personal surfing and trip report editing on my laptop while waiting for my main in-flight lunch course to be served.

After spending approximately 50 minutes of using my portable electronic gadgets and having my first in-flight appetizer courses over the South China Sea, a cabin attendant appeared at my seat again at 1.15 p.m.. This time, she had my main lunch meal course consisting of the airline's signature Lobster Thermidor, which I had directly ordered via the airline's 'Book the Cook' service during the course of our major ticket reservations itself. With my main meal course safely placed on my in-flight lunch tray, I immediately tucked into my 'Book the Cook' meal over the South China Sea.
As with my previous major in-bound flight from Singapore to Hong Kong in November 2024, the Lobster Thermidor tasted delicious and tender, with the melted cheese and button mushrooms securely giving the lobster meat the enhanced flavors and tastes it needed. All the side accompaniments that directly came with it, including my glass of 2019 Château La Cardonne, Bordeaux, French red wine, also paired very well with the in-flight meal dish. With the Lobster Thermidor being that delicious, I knew that I had made the right choice and did not regret it at all. Once I had finished my main dish, a flight crew attendant soon came directly to my table to collect my used in-flight lunch tray and asked whether there was anything I wanted for dessert.
To conclude this in-flight lunch service, I promptly decided to have the Milo dinosaur cake with a glass of Baileys Irish Cream and some mineral water. With that, the flight attendant took down my dessert orders and returned with them by around 1.45 p.m. that afternoon. The Milo dinosaur cake tasted quite tender and had the appropriate amount of sweetness in it, with the Baileys Irish Cream pairing well with the in-flight dessert course. It was indeed a sweet and appropriate way to round off a good and hassle-free in-flight meal service.
Once my used dessert plate and drink glasses were cleared away, I spent the next 15 minutes doing some personal surfing and major overseas trip report editing work on my portable laptop. Another flight cabin attendant then appeared by my seat with a sealed KrisShop duty-free security tamper-evident bag containing an exclusive Scale 1:500 die-cast aircraft model by 2.05 p.m.. After I had verified that my purchase was correct, I quickly placed my purchase away in my baggage and decided to get some rest until the descent cum arrival into Manila later on.
As for my exclusive Scale 1:500 die-cast aircraft model I had purchased on board, the details are as follows:

In accordance with the Philippine Standard Time (PhST), all the 'fasten seat belt' signs were illuminated by three o' clock sharp, approximately 25 minutes in preparation for the coming afternoon descent and arrival into Manila. Since we had less than an hour left before the mid-afternoon arrival into our final destination, we promptly placed all our belongings back into their respective storage spaces and fastened our seat belts before the aircraft could securely commence its one approach into Manila. The flight attendants then went around the aircraft cabin conducting their final safety checks at the same time.
The weather began to become quite cloudy across the main waters of Manila Bay as the aircraft began to make its final approach into Ninoy Aquino International Airport later on. After a regional early afternoon flight duration of approximately 3 hours 05 minutes across the South China Sea from the warmer tropical island surroundings of the Republic of Singapore, we finally touched down into Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 3.25 p.m., approximately 20 minutes ahead of schedule. The aircraft then made its way across the central airport tarmac to its assigned arrival gate located at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3.
Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Filipino: Paliparang Pandaigdig ng Ninoy Aquino; Spanish: Aeropuerto Internacional Ninoy Aquino) is a large Filipino international and domestic airport complex located between the cities of Pasay and Parañaque, Metro Manila, Philippines. Named after the late former Philippine senator, Ninoy Aquino, it currently serves as the main international airport complex for the large Metro Manila region and is the busiest central international airport complex in the Republic of the Philippines, with at least approximately 45.4 million passengers passing through the airport complex in fiscal 2023. The airport currently serves as a base for PAL Express and Philippine Airlines and as a main focus city for Air Juan, AirSWIFT, Cebgo, Cebu Pacific and Philippines AirAsia.
The airport was opened in 1948 as the main airport for the Manila metropolitan area of its surroundings, occupying the former site of Nichols Field, with the international runway lengthened to handle more international flights in 1954. On 21 August 1983, the late former Philippine senator, Ninoy Aquino, was assassinated along the airport tarmac with a single gunshot, which resulted in the main airport complex gaining its current name in his honor. From 22 July 2008, Terminal 3 was opened for passenger service to cater to some major domestic flights, with Cebu Pacific and many foreign carriers operating out of Terminal 3 from 31 July 2014 after several technical airport delays owing to construction setbacks and legal issues.

After taxiing through the major airport tarmac for approximately five minutes towards Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3, we soon arrived at our assigned major arrival gate, Gate No. 116, at 3.30 p.m.. Once all the seat belt signs had been turned off, we promptly unbuckled our seat belts and retrieved all our belongings from their respective stowage spaces before the disembarkation process at Gate No. 116 could commence securely. We also conducted a final spot check across our seating areas to ensure that nothing had been left behind on board.
The flight attendants soon armed the two front aircraft exit doors open to permit the passengers to disembark from the aircraft at Gate No. 116. As we disembarked from 9V-SHH via the second aircraft exit door, the in-flight crew attendants thanked us for choosing to travel with Singapore Airlines and wished us a pleasant major Southeast Asian stay in the Philippines. Upon securely disembarking from the airplane with our belongings, we then walked through the jet bridge of Gate No. 116 leading into the passenger terminal building at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3.
After flying with an airline company on a particular flight section, I give that airline an overall holistic score report to help me determine whether that airline is worth flying with for that sector or as a whole. If the airline's flight service has a rapid stopover at another airport before its final destination, the final score report will be issued at the end of the second sector (i.e., if flying on Singapore Airlines flight SQ 025 from New York (John F. Kennedy) to Singapore via Frankfurt, the airline will directly receive the final result at the end of the second major sector between Frankfurt and Singapore). With rising competition levels between several airlines, this airline grading system is updated every three to four years, though in light of COVID-19, a newer system will not be implemented until at least 2026 or 2027.
The airline score report consists of five main components, which are the seating, in-flight catering, in-flight service, aircraft cleanliness and legroom space. Each major component weighs up to 20 points, thereby totaling up to 100 points. A minimum overall aggregate score of 50% or higher is required for an airline to obtain a pass. The top grades, 'Outstanding' and 'Exceeds Expectations' are both quality passes, while the 'Acceptable' grade is considered a borderline pass. The 'Fair' and 'Poor' grades are considered below passes, with the lowest grade being 'Dreadful', thus implying that the airline has not met the prerequisite for the minimum grade.
As of 1 January 2025, the airline grading system for my overseas travels is as follows:
Outstanding: 80% or above (Airline has an excellent rating and performance)
Exceeds Expectations: 65% ~ 79% (Airline has a good rating and performance)
Acceptable: 50% ~ 64% (Airline has an adequate rating and performance)
Fair: 35% ~ 49% (Airline has a fair rating and performance)
Poor: 20% ~ 34% (Airline has a poor rating and performance)
Dreadful: Below 20% (Airline has failed to meet the prerequisite for the minimum grade)
Singapore Airlines Flight 912 Score Report
Seating: 19 / 20
In-flight Catering: 18 / 20
In-flight Service: 17 / 20
Aircraft Cleanliness: 17 / 20
Legroom Space: 18 / 20
Total: 89 / 100
Grade: Outstanding
Upon tabulating the overall score experience of this journey, Singapore Airlines has obtained an overall aggregate score of 89% for this flight sector from Singapore to Manila, thereby meaning that they have successfully obtained the highest grade of 'Outstanding'. Apart from the appetizer dish having a weird aftertaste, the in-flight meal catering exceeded my expectations, with the cabin attendants showing good levels of professionalism in catering to me. The seat was also quite comfortable for any regional journey like this, especially for afternoon flights. Well done, Singapore Airlines! You have indeed proven yourself to be 'A Great Way to Fly'.
Part 3 ~ The Journey To The Seda Bonifacio Global City Manila
After disembarking from Singapore Airlines flight SQ 912 from Singapore at Gate No. 116, we passed through the airport terminal passageway leading to the major arrival immigration checkpoints in Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3. The entire passageway from Gate No. 116 to the post-arrival immigration checkpoints took not more than approximately five minutes that late afternoon. Reaching the major arrival immigration checkpoints by 3.40 p.m., we instantly proceeded to the foreign visitors' priority lane and got out our passports to be checked by the immigration officers on duty, with the entire arrival immigration process taking not more than approximately five minutes.
Upon clearing the central arrival immigration checkpoints by 3.45 p.m., I immediately went over to check which baggage belt number our bulkier check-in baggage would arrive at. According to the baggage information screens, our large check-in baggage from Singapore Airlines flight SQ 912 from Singapore would be arriving at Belt No. 2. With that, we quickly took the nearest escalator down to the main baggage claiming level and grabbed four baggage carts before heading to Belt No. 2 to collect all our bulkier check-in baggage from Singapore Airlines flight SQ 912 from Singapore. The entire baggage collection procedures took not more than approximately 10 minutes that afternoon.

After collecting all our larger check-in baggage from Singapore Airlines flight SQ 912 from Singapore at Belt No. 2 and passing through Filipino customs, we were safely in the main arrivals and meeting lobby of Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 at 3.55 p.m. sharp. A female Filipino guide holding our names for the Seda Bonifacio Global City Manila also came over to assist us with the baggage carts before directly escorting us to the vehicular pick-up point area near the open-air parking lot located outside Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3.
At the vehicular pick-up point, there was a black Toyota Sienna and a black Lexus LM Hybrid waiting to take us directly to the Seda Bonifacio Global City Manila. Both my mom and Aunt Charmaine would be in the black Lexus LM Hybrid while my younger brother and I would travel via the black Toyota Sienna. Once all of our baggage had been loaded into the rear trunk areas of the limousines, we departed Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 at 4.05 p.m. for a routine late afternoon road trip of approximately half an hour over to the Seda Bonifacio Global City Manila located in the heart of the Bonifacio Global City business district.

After a major late afternoon hotel limousine road trip duration of approximately half an hour from Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3, we finally arrived at the entrance area to the Seda Bonifacio Global City Manila at exactly 4.35 p.m.. Several hotel staff porters soon came out with a few baggage carts to assist us in unloading our baggage from the hotel limousines. Once everybody had securely disembarked from the hotel limousine vans, our guides informed us that we would be heading to Uptown Eastgate for dinner.
With that, we thanked our Filipino guides and promised to meet them by 7.35 p.m. before heading to the check-in reception counters in the major hotel lobby at 4.40 p.m. sharp. Given that there were four of us, the entire check-in process lasted not more than approximately 25 minutes that afternoon. Upon obtaining our assigned room keys by around 5.05 p.m., I learnt that I would stay in Room No. 2025 on the 20th floor with my mom and younger brother, while Aunt Charmaine would stay in Room No. 1730 on the 17th floor. Our rooms would even feature exclusive lounge access to the Executive Club Lounge located on the 21st floor.
Once we had thanked the check-in agents for their services, we went to the elevator lobby and caught the nearest elevator up to our respective floors, thus reaching our assigned Room No. 2025 safely at 5.10 p.m.. Our room consisted of two bathrooms, one master bedroom and a living room area. We even made arrangements to install one extra roll-on bed in the master bedroom for me to sleep at the same time itself. As soon as the additional roll-on bed was safely set up, we immediately spent some time unpacking our belongings and clothes for the coming day ahead.
With our hotel room featuring Club Lounge access, I directly headed up to the Club Lounge located on the 21st floor for some evening canapés at 6.35 p.m. sharp later that evening. There, I instantly helped myself to some tortilla corn chips, pasta, one chicken skewer and a light glass of Reguta Moscato Rosa, which helped to ease my hunger. The major evening canapés tasted quite refreshing, with the single glass of Reguta Moscato Rosa being a good accompaniment for them. Once I had securely finished all my canapés for the evening, I finally returned to my allocated Room No. 2025 situated on the 20th floor at 6.55 p.m. to get some more rest before dinner.

After spending the very first part of the early evening sorting out all our belongings and catching up on some rest in our assigned Room No. 2025, the clock was finally showing 7.15 p.m.. Though our dinner meeting would be at precisely eight o' clock later that evening, my younger brother informed us that he was too tired to go out and would safely order room service for dinner instead. My mom and I understood and advised him to get some well-earned rest, even directly promising him that we would both be back in our assigned Room No. 2025 safely later that night.
Without wasting anymore time, we gathered our necessary belongings and caught an elevator down to the central hotel lobby located on the first floor itself, thus reaching safely at 7.25 p.m. and meeting Aunt Charmaine at the same time. Soon enough, the black Toyota Sienna and black Lexus LM Hybrid limousine cars securely arrived at the front entrance area to the Seda Bonifacio Global City Manila by exactly 7.30 p.m.. All our Filipino guides then informed us that we would be heading over to Morton's The Steakhouse (Uptown Eastgate Branch) situated directly along 11th Avenue for dinner with local Filipino Congresswoman Madam Caroline Tanchay and her son Lorenzo.
While the three of us would board the black Toyota Sienna limousine car, our Filipino guides would follow us from behind in the black Lexus LM Hybrid limousine car. We also informed our guides that my younger brother would not join us for dinner as he was too exhausted after the in-bound voyage from Singapore earlier that afternoon. Once everybody was directly on board, we finally departed from the Seda Bonifacio Global City Manila at precisely 7.35 p.m. sharp for a short early evening road trip of just five minutes over to Morton's The Steakhouse (Uptown Eastgate Branch).

After a simple main early evening limousine trip duration of just five minutes from the Seda Bonifacio Global City Manila situated along 11th Street, we safely arrived at the main entrance area of Uptown Eastgate Tower 3 by 7.40 p.m. sharp. Checking to see that we had not left anything behind on board, we thanked all our Filipino guides for their services and they promised that they would come and take us back to the Seda Bonifacio Global City Manila once we had completely finished our steakhouse dinner gathering at Morton's The Steakhouse (Uptown Eastgate Branch).
Heading to the main entrance at Morton's The Steakhouse (Uptown Eastgate Branch) at 7.45 p.m., we informed the restaurant receptionist that we had a mass reservation under Madam Caroline Tanchay at precisely eight o' clock. Once our reservation had been identified, we were safely directed to an eight-seat table and were left with the main dining menus to make our reviews before dinner. Madam Caroline Tanchay and her son, Lorenzo, eventually joined us at our dinner table at exactly eight o' clock, as they had agreed earlier on.
As soon as we were ready to eat, a restaurant waiter came to our dining table to take down our major meal orders for dinner. For our dinner gathering, we ordered various appetizers and main dishes, such as lobster bisque, grilled salmon, USDA Prime beef rib-eye steak and sautéed spinach. With our coming meal orders safely recorded, we sat back to discuss what would happen over the course of our time in the Philippines, with our dinner orders gradually arriving at our eight-seat table from 8.25 p.m.. That night, we had a sumptuous gathering at Morton's The Steakhouse (Uptown Eastgate Branch) with Madam Caroline Tanchay and Lorenzo.

After having a sumptuous and filling dinner gathering at Morton's The Steakhouse (Uptown Eastgate Branch) located along 11th Avenue, Corner 36th Street, Taguig, Metro Manila, the clock was finally showing 10.35 p.m.. Given that my mom, Aunt Charmaine and I were beginning to feel rather tired, we instantly decided to head back to the Seda Bonifacio Global City Manila to retire for the night. Noticing the timing, Madam Caroline Tanchay also offered to arrange for our Filipino guides to fetch us back and meet us at the Ore Central office building the next day.
Once our dinner check had been settled with nothing left behind, we departed the main restaurant outlet and went to Uptown Eastgate Tower 3, where three familiar limousine vehicles arrived at the pick-up and drop-off point. With two of the major cars reserved for Madam Caroline Tanchay and the local Filipino guides, we would thus catch the black GMC Yukon limousine van directly back to the Seda Bonifacio Global City Manila. As soon as we were on board the black GMC Yukon limousine vehicle, we soon departed Uptown Eastgate Tower 3 at 10.40 p.m. for a short late night road trip of just 15 minutes back to the Seda Bonifacio Global City Manila.

After a short and simple late night limousine return trip duration of approximately 15 minutes from Morton's The Steakhouse (Uptown Eastgate Branch), we finally arrived back at the main entrance area to the Seda Bonifacio Global City Manila securely by around 10.55 p.m.. Checking to see that we did not leave anything behind on board, we thanked the GMC Yukon limousine driver for his services before heading into the main hotel lobby and taking the nearest elevator up to our assigned major rooms on the 17th & 20th floors respectively. It was not that long until we both arrived back at our assigned Room No. 2025 located on the 20th floor at eleven o' clock.
Placing all our electronics to be charged overnight, we went to wash up and change into our own nightly pajamas before turning in for the night. My mom then took the opportunity to advise me and my younger brother against staying up too late as we would be going directly to the Ore Central office building to meet Madam Caroline Tanchay the next day. Upon ensuring that the entire hotel room was locked and our portable electronic devices were charging up for the night, we soon turned in at 12 midnight for a well-earned good night's rest.
